In 1810, with her refined palate and tongue untied, Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, the first woman to run a Champagne House, created her first vintage wine.
With an unusual strength of character and keen business sense, this "Grande Dame du Champagne" also invented the "riddling table" process in 1816.
While the course of true love may not always run smoothly, when bubbles are involved it's always effervescent...
