What is the origin of the name «La Briqueterie»?
It is a former brickyard and some of the old kilns are still standing, in the grounds of the hotel.
What are the highlights of this lavishly appointed establishment?
Its location in the heart of the Champagne vineyards,a large landscaped garden of three hectares,an exceptional setting in the middle of the Champagne vineyards, each room’s unique décor, the full spa with indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, and the gourmet restaurant.
Particular thought has been given to your wellness facilities: is the spa an integral part of the French lifestyle?
Yes, absolutely. It is a complementary service for our customers, in keeping with our five-star status.
At the restaurant, can guests taste the produce of the hotel garden? Make our mouths water!
Yes, our gardeners cultivate the garden produce for the chef, in particular seasonal fruit and vegetables (walnuts, strawberries, raspberries, cherry tomatoes, courgettes, etc.), which we also offer to our guests to try as soon as they cross the threshold!
The hotel’s restaurant now has one Michelin star: is that a challenge as well as a reward?
It is a worthy reward for all the kitchen staff, who work hard throughout the year to satisfy all our customers. It also means the pressure is on us constantly to maintain the same level of quality of our dishes, day in, day out.
Guests can quite literally take to the skies from the hotel grounds: what made you decide to offer helicopter and balloon flights?
We are lucky enough to have a very large garden, so we must make the most of it! We encourage our guests to walk or fly around the grounds, because they are lovely in all seasons, even in the snow! »
