Basilique Saint-Remi REIMS
Partially destroyed in the First World War, Saint Remi Basilica is a true survivor.
Built in the 11th century to house the Holy Ampulla and the relics of Saint Remi, the bishop who baptised Clovis in 496-498. This Romanesque-Gothic basilica, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991, is a real gem of Reims heritage.
It has experienced 40 years of restoration, and is one of the Grandes Dames de la Champagne. This one is not a widow though and even has thousands of suitors every year!
