Not your garden variety visit...
With the official status of "Jardin remarquable" (remarkable garden), this botanical garden is an important local horticultural site.
With apt names like "Gallery of monsters", "rose cage", "tadpole corner", "Lodela's garden"... plus the classically French rose garden, the white garden... it's quite a florid anthology!
Highlight:
Champagne tasting in cabins sometimes up high... garden and wine become one.

What unexpected plant might you fi nd in the Marne on a stroll around your garden?
The spiraea ‘Magnum Rosé’ taken from the La Presle botanical gardens. It complements our collection of spiraeas as well as the ‘La Marne’ rose which created 100 years ago to commemorate the Battle of the Marne.
Why did you create a garden in the heart of the Montagne de Reims?
We set up more than 25 years ago in the place known as La Presle, between Reims and Epernay. An initial national collection of spiraeas received an award in 1995 followed by other, including the collection of willows, in 2000. From this and Edith Brochet Lanvin’s old roses, the gardens of La Presle were established, becoming the first Jardin Remarquable in Champagne in 2005.
Are full or part-guided tours available?
Visitors are free to explore the gardens of La Presle on their own or as a family, or – better still – in an accompanied group. A guided tour gives visitors a better understanding of the garden’s creativity and originality.
What makes you special?
The service we offer may be unique in France. In addition to the garden, we produce and sell plants that are adapted to our region’s calcareous soil and our training centre works with the managers of communal parks.
Every year, we arrange a programme of events that enable us to talk to our visitors about a wide range of topics depending on the season. »
